“In omnibus operibus tuis memorare novissima tua, et in aeternum non peccabis”
“in all thy works be mindful of thy last end and thou wilt never sin.”
“Remember Man that you are dust and unto dust you shall return.”
We remember what God forgets! We remember our sins, transgressions and failings. Our God has thrown these things into the sea of forgetfulness. He throws them as far as the east is from the west. We forget too quickly however that we are dust and to dust we shall return. If only we could remember that this light affliction is working for us a far more exceeding eternal weight in glory. Memento mori! Remember you will die!
